The wonderful art installed at the Alloway Tunnel Project is expanding – and we’re involved! A few weeks ago, Chris Rutterford came to our club and talked about his inspiration for this ambitious mural. And soon, our contribution will be lining the roof of this beautiful underground tunnel. With inspiration and some acrylic paint, we put on old paint shirts, rolled up the sleeves, and going wild with colours and designs.
We’ve loved it! From singing and hilarity, to calm and introspection, these wall hangings have been a joy to work on. But now, they have left us…ready to be varnished and hung inside the railway tunnel.
There will be a launch event, and we’ll share details asap. After that, this art installation featuring many community groups will be open to the public at all times. We can’t wait to see it!
